‘Young People’s Gambling Harm Prevention Programme’

GamCare and YGAM will be co-delivering this training, as partners in the Young People’s Gambling Harm Prevention Programme.
The workshop will equip youth facing professionals with the knowledge and resources to inform, educate and safeguard young people in relation to gambling-related harm. It will cover a broad range of topics including, the blurred lines between gaming and gambling, financial implications, advertising and regulation, risks factors and impacts, screening, and assessment, through to signposting and referral. This workshop will also cover how young people can experience harm as a result of someone else’s gambling.
At the end of the workshop, you will gain access to 450 free downloadable resources from YGAM which are mapped to the PSHE Programme of Study and RSE statutory guidance with long term thematic plans, schemes of work and lesson plans from KS2-5. You will also have the opportunity to book in a GamCare kick-off session to be directly delivered to young people at a time that suits you.
