SCC Alternative Education Providers Training

We are developing the safeguarding children training for Sheffield City Council supported Alternative Education Providers (SCC AEP's). There are two documents to help your understanding and recording for this training:

Further details are below.

  • Basic Safeguarding Children in Education Training:

All of our face to face safeguarding children training has now been cancelled until further notice. Any updates to this will be posted here on the website. Emails have been sent to all staff who have booked places on our courses, at the email address that the applicant provided on their booking form.

We are now running face-to-face 'basic' training for SCC Alternative Education Providers through Sheaf Training and Sheffield Inclusion Centre. This training will be a half-day course and is required for all staff who have regular contact with children and young people, every 3 years.

The next annual training is expected to be in September 2020.

If you need to discuss this further please contact: Daina.Cummings@sheffield.gov.uk or tel.: 0114 2296185.
