Multi-agency - Working Together: Promoting Well-being and Keeping Children Safe

Working Together is at the heart of good child protection and safeguarding practice.

This course, based around the statutory guidance, ‘Working together to Safeguard Children’ (2023) explores how organisations and individuals can better work together to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.  It is primarily aimed at staff who are new to working with Children and Families in Sheffield or practitioners who have recently taken on a safeguarding remit.

The course provides staff with an understanding of their responsibilities, how to access support for children and families, the child protection process, key legislation, and guidance and will look at what can be learned from practice in Sheffield.  It is also an opportunity for staff to become familiar with the roles of people from other agencies who attend the training and share experiences and perspectives that will aid future working.

Staff should have completed their own agency Basic/Introduction to Safeguarding Children face to face training or the Sheffield Children Safeguarding Partnership Online E-learning Safeguarding Children training.
