Safeguarding Workshop - Domestic Abuse: Coercive Control
89% of clients referred to Sheffield IDAS have experienced coercive and controlling or jealous behaviour. Coercive control is a crime, and a type of domestic abuse that although prevalent, is particularly difficult for victims and professionals to identify. In this workshop we will look at the legislation around coercive and controlling behaviour, what constitutes coercive control, and strategies for evidence gathering and supporting victims in accessing help.
