Safeguarding Workshop - Child Sexual Exploitation
Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) is a form of child sexual abuse where the child is coerced, manipulated or deceived into sexual activity either in exchange for something they want or need, or for the financial or status advantage of the person causing or facilitating the harm. The risk often comes from individuals outside of the family home.
This workshop, delivered by Community Safeguarding Practitioner, Jo Davies, will give frontline practitioners and their managers up to date information about child sexual exploitation with key message and guidance for practice.
It will explore the implications of the Casey Report (National Audit on Group-based Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, June 2025) and consider how information and misinformation shared on social media affects the safety and protection of children.
