Safeguarding Workshop - Safeguarding and Online Safety

How do children spend their time online?

This workshop will provide an update of developments in safeguarding children and young people online.  It includes current trends in social media environments, identifies risk-related behaviour and offers feedback from children in Sheffield.

You will learn about resources available to practitioners, how exploitation occurs online and how we can engage young people meaningfully in preventative education on these topics.

Please be aware that if you work in a school the content will be similar to that contained in the Online Safety Emerging Themes, Safeguarding Advanced Initial and Safeguarding Advanced Refresher for 2023/24 so you do not need to attend this workshop.
