Education Settings - Knife Crime: Supporting Young People
This session is for Secondary school and above settings
- The Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) has provided funding for Learn Sheffield to develop teaching resources for schools around knife crime.
- The VRU also provides funding for the Navigators to deliver the Your Stance programme for young people.
- This session will provide you with an overview of both of these initiatives and the opportunity to book the Navigators to deliver Your Stance sessions for young people in your school.
- The Learn Sheffield resource will be introduced by Sue Finnigan and the 2 Navigators, Melissa Munasser and Samantha Scothern who will explain their role and introduce the Your Stance training programme.
- There will be time to ask questions and look through the resources from both initiatives.
- Members of the Safeguarding Children Advisor team will also attend to answer any questions.
The course is free for all settings.
Attendance must be prioritised. Non-attendance without prior cancellation or agreement will be charged if it is not in line with our charging policy. You can cancel your place via the training booking system and please also let us know so we can offer your place to someone else.
