Multi-agency - Conferences and Core Groups

This course will help practitioners develop a clearer understanding of the process of Initial Child Protection Conferences, Core Groups and Review Conferences.  It explains local policy and practice including consideration of core values and incorporating Signs of Safety.

Staff should have completed their own agency Basic/Introduction to Safeguarding Children face to face training or the Sheffield Children Safeguarding Partnership Online E-learning Safeguarding Children training and the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Children Working Together: Promoting Well-being and Keeping Children Safe course before applying for this course.

This course is aimed primarily at staff who are new to working with children and families or who have more recently taken on a safeguarding remit and anticipate that they may become involved in child protection conferences or are likely to be members of a core group.
